COVID-19: Confiscated , defective product made in China “Inspection Kit”: Border Guard / Dutton Interior Minister

Australian Government:

On April 5, the company announced that it had seized a total of 289 sets of new home use coronavirus “home use test kits” imported from China and Hong Kong.

These Chinese test kits are not licensed for medical supplies by the Australian Government.

Dutton is calling on the public to call these “defectives.”

Australian Border Guard:

On March 16, a total of 200 inspection kits were found in air cargo via China / Singapore / Perth.

On March 23 and 26, 89 sets of inspection kits were found on air cargo via Hong Kong / Perth / Melbourne.

The importer has not obtained these import permits.
