ISO: Tourism/International Guidelines

We are discussing the creation of standards to support the tourism industry affected by the new coronavirus.

The ISO/TC 228 plenary session was held online on June 15.

UNE 0066:

The Spanish Standards Association (UNE) has published a standard guideline series for the domestic market.

There was discussion about how to use the “UNE 0066 New Coronavirus SARS-CoV-2 Prevalence Control Guidelines” as the basis for international standards.

ISO International Standard:

ISO creates ISO international standards by gathering members from each country into ISOs that are divided according to fields.

TC 228:

TC 228, a specialized committee in tourism and related services,

New Coronavirus: Compatible standards

We are discussing standards for the new coronavirus.

Provides guidelines for minimizing the risk of infection and protecting customers and employees.

“UNE 0066” series:

Published by the Spanish Standards Association, the “UNE 0066” series is a type of standard called a specification.

In the “UNE 0066” series, specifications for 19 items are currently issued, which covers a wide range of services related to tourism (spa, hotels, travel agencies, campsites, restaurants, golf courses, tourist information). Places, museums, wineries, tourist buses, amusement parks, beaches etc.).

Publicadas las Especificaciones UNE para reducir riesgos frente al COVID-19 en el turismo

La Asociación Española de Normalización, UNE, en colaboración con el Instituto para la Calidad Turística Española (ICTE), ha publicado una veintena de Especificaciones UNE, que establecen las directrices y recomendaciones para la reducción del contagio por el coronavirus SARS-CoV-2 en el sector turístico. El organismo español de estandarización pone estos documentos a disposición gratuita de la sociedad.
