COVID-19: Requests from 30 Countries to Provide Avigans: Direction of Granting Free = Secretary-General Kan

At a meeting on Tuesday afternoon, Chief Cabinet Secretary Yoshiwei Kan said, “Thirty countries are seeking to provide Avigan for clinical trials as a new coronavirus treatment.”

30 countries: Avigan free grant

The Government of Japan said it was adjusting for free provision.

Germany has already announced that it is seeking to offer Avigan as a treatment for the new virus.

“The demand from each country is increasing, and we would like to cooperate with the desired country in clinical trials and the like.”
