Toyota Tsusho: Drug drone delivery in Ghana: Zipline International collaboration

Startup Zipline International has chosen “Ghana as the second destination after Rwanda”.
Toyota Tsusho invests in Logline (logistics technology) Zipline International in San Francisco, USA.

On November 29, JETRO received a strong interest from the Ghanaian government at an early stage.
It matched “the need to deliver emergency medicines quickly to remote locations away from the city”.
Pharmaceutical drone:
Made of carbon fiber and polystyrene foam.
It is 2 meters long and weighs 11 kilograms and is equipped with a 9 kilogram battery.
The maximum speed is 101 km, and a maximum of 1.7 km is transported.
Omenaco base station:
Omenaco Base Station has a warehouse for medicines and blood for transfusion,
Deployed 20 drones,
There are about 30 staff members, half of whom are women.
