Disaster Assist: Tohoku Univ develops Robust Robot -for High Temperature and Debris Removal

~ Removing burning debris and realizing high fire resistance ~

The Tohoku University Group has newly developed a robot hand that can grasp high temperature objects in flames and various objects.

The structure of the robot hand is radially arranged like a rosary, and the structure that the bag can not break is established.

Using metallic material for beaded pieces, achieving high fire resistance and flexibility

Easy access to heat sources at burning disaster site such as fire

It is expected to greatly contribute not only to rubble removal but also to high temperature work and productivity improvement at the factory.
