“Jiangsu Chemical Industry Industry Improvement Plan (opinion draft)”:
In response to a plant explosion on March 21, the Jiangsu Provincial Government Office issued an urgent notification on April 1 regarding the “Kangsu Chemical Industry Industry Improvement and Improvement Proposal (opinion draft)”.
Summary of the proposal:
About within 1 kilometer range of both banks of the Yangtze River and main branch
Environment-sensitive area,
Urban populated area,
Area outside Chemical Industry Park
Significantly reduce chemical industry manufacturers below a certain size.
It has decreased to 2,000 companies by the end of 2020.
Decreased to 1,000 companies by the end of 2022.
Current Status of Jiangsu Province:
There are 4,069 chemical industry manufacturers in Jiangsu province, and more than 5,000 in total including SMEs,
If the proposal is put into effect, over 4,000 chemical companies will be shut down and relocated in three years.
