Tokyo Medical 、Dental Univ: Successful production of mini multi-organs from human iPS cells: Nature, September 25, 2019
Tokyo Medical and Dental University:
Successful generation of liver, bile duct, and pancreas from human iPS cells.
Considering the connection between organs such as the liver and bile ducts will lead to the establishment of highly effective regenerative medicine technology.
From single organ regeneration to multi-organ batch creation, organ creation technology based on a completely new concept can be expected to spread in the future.

Joint research with Professor Takanori Takebe’s research group / Cincinnati Children’s Hospital
We have established a technology to simultaneously generate multiple (liver, bile, pancreas) organs from human iPS cells by mimicking the process of liver, bile, and pancreas in the womb.
In addition, we succeeded in reproducing a genetic disease that causes abnormalities in the formation of multiple organs in vitro.
The results of this research were published online in the international scientific journal Nature on September 25, 2019 at 6pm (UK time).
