Hitachi Zosen: Combine with NEDO to complete the barge of the next generation floating / offshore wind power generation system
– This summer, setting up demonstration aircraft off Kitakyushu city –
NEDO and Hitachi Zosen Co., Ltd. completed the barge type floating body of the next generation floating offshore wind power generation system.
The barge type floating bodies adopted in this project are smaller and lighter than the general semi-sub type.
Since the depth (draft) of a structure sinking under the water surface is shallow, this floating body can be installed in a water area of about 50 m in depth.
we will install it as a demonstration off the coast of Kitakyushu from this summer and we will start demonstration operation from this autumn.
