Radioactive Waste: Residual Radioactive Concentration Acceptable in the Living Environment – for Palladium Recycling

Radioactive Waste: Residual Radioactive Concentration Acceptable in the Living Environment – for Palladium Recycling

– Reuse palladium recovered from high level radioactive waste –

Result of this study

The clearance level of “High Level Radioactive Waste / Palladium (107 Pd)” was calculated to be about 3000 Becquerel per gram.

Concrete clearance levels have not been shown for elements recovered from high-level radioactive waste so far.

This research is extremely important for radiation management.

In addition, They provide basic data for international guidelines necessary for recycling and practical use of palladium.

This research result was also announced at the expert meeting of the Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development, the Nuclear Energy Organization (OECD / NEA) held from 30th September.
