Gardening Festival: “Chelsea Flower Show”
The world-famous British Gardening Festival “Chelsea Flower Show” (host: Royal Horticultural Society of the United Kingdom, RHS)
It was held on May 21-25 in London.
There were 26 model gardens and more than 350 companies and organizations exhibiting, with about 166,800 visitors.
The biggest highlight of the fair is the Garden Design Contest (see article on June 16, 2014, see article on June 24, 2016).
This time, two gardens exhibited from Japan won the gold prize.
One is:
Ishikawa Kazuyuki (Ishihara Kazuyuki Design Research Institute) “Green Switch”.
The concept of a garden where you can switch off the tension of urban life and taste freedom.
He has won the 11th Gold Award for eight consecutive years, unprecedented.
Another one is:
The “Kampo Garden” exhibited by two young garden designers (Kazukura Kashikura, Miki Sato) working in Hokkaido.
We have achieved a gold medal award at our first exhibition.
