Israel: Increased Startup Procurement-IVC Research Center

Israel Venture Capital (IVC) Research Center:

Total funding for Israeli startups (4 months) reached $ 2.3 billion, a record high.

It is growing faster than $ 6.4 billion in 2018.

April amount: $ 750 million

In particular, the amount raised in April reached $ 750 million (Israel economic newspaper Groves)

Of the amount procured in April, $ 600 million was for large projects for nine companies.

Lemonade Insurance: (Attachment)

Lemonard Insurance offers cheap home insurance in the United States based on AI and behavioral economics.

Sourcing $ 300 million in Series D rounds from Softbank Group, Allianz, and Our Cloud.

Israel: Number of startups opened

The number of startups in Israel in 2018 was 356 companies, 26% of the peak (2014, 1,366 companies).

However, the total procurement amount is increasing.

Of the nine mentioned above, six are in series C and subsequent investment rounds.
