On July 21, participants of the “Monozukuri Mirai Juku” conducted by the city discovered a new hydrogen gas production method.
Toyota City announced that it has obtained a patent on June 17.
In the future, we will commercialize a home hydrogen generator/power generator.
Hydrogen generator/generator:
When taking out hydrogen by chemically reacting magnesium with water,
Carboxylic acid compounds of food additives,
By adding four kinds of water, the reaction can be performed continuously,
We devised the combination and ratio of compounds to prevent the generation of solid by-products,
When applied to a household hydrogen generator/generator, the maintenance of the equipment can be reduced.
Mayor Toshihiko Ota:
“While the possibility of a hydrogen society is being discussed, it can be expected to spread to compact fuel cells for home use,” he said.
“Monozukuri Mirai Juku”:
Volunteers of young SMEs in the city gather once a week to work on inventions after work.
This time, eight junior college students and nine instructors established a new method.
