Customer association Forenet Kredit, owner of Danish mortgage giant Nykredit A/S, has agreed to sell a 16.9% stake in Denmark’s largest loan provider to a consortium of Danish pensions led by PFA Pension in a deal worth DKK 11.6 billion (US$ 1.81 billion), foregoing earlier plans to make an initial public offering on the Copenhagen Stock Exchange.
Nykredit in September 2017 had reached out to Morgan Stanley, JPMorgan and Danske Bank as joint global coordinators for an IPO.
Forenet Kredit owns 89.8% of Nykredit.

HDFC Standard Life Insurance Company Limited, India’s third biggest private-sector life insurance company that was formed in 2000 as a joint venture, attracted a number of key backers for its public offering.
Some of these investors include Temasek Holdings, GIC, USS, Norway’s SWF, Abu Dhabi Investment Authority, Kuwait Investment Authority and the University of California Investment Office.
HDFC Standard Life Insurance is 61.21% owned by Housing Development Finance Corporation Limited (HDFC Ltd.) and 34.75% owned by Standard Life Mauritius, a unit of U.K.-based Standard Life Plc. HDFC and Standard Life will sell a total of 14.97% in the company for the public offering.
