💰Genstar Buys, ISS Changes Hands Again .
San Francisco-based private equity firm Genstar Capital has completed its acquisition of corporate governance advisory firm Institutional Shareholder Services Inc. (ISS) from Vestar Capital Partners in a deal valued at US$ 720 million.
ISS will continue to operate independently with the same management team in place. ISS CEO Gary Retelny is also participating in the buyout.
The deal was announced in September 2017. ISS’ main competitor is Glass Lewis.
