Mitsubishi Electric: Uniquely developed to specifications for the Philippines:
On April 30, Mitsubishi Electric delivered a mobile warning and control radar to the Philippines.
1. A warning and control radar is installed on the vehicle and can be used wherever needed.
2. Based on MSDF’s radar, developed independently to specifications for the Philippines.
Mitsubishi Electric’s radar contract details:
1. Mitsubishi Electric signs an air defense radar contract with the Philippine Department of Defense.
2. There are a total of 4 units, 1 mobile type and 3 fixed types.
A handover ceremony for one of the fixed units was held in December last year.
The contract value for the four units is 5.5 billion pesos (approximately 14.9 billion yen).
The Philippine Air Force will have increased surveillance and readiness capabilities.
Delivery of the four units is scheduled to be completed by 2026.

Philippine Air Force receives mobile air surveillance

The Philippine Air Force:
(PAF) has received a mobile radar system from Japan to strengthen air surveillance.
Japan has delivered the TPS-P14ME radar manufactured by Mitsubishi Electric Corporation (Melco) to the PAF,
the Philippine Department of National Defense (DND) announced in late April.
[The TPS-P14ME radar]
will provide high-resolution surveillance of air and surface targets,
significantly enhancing the PAF’s ability to detect and track potential threats with precision,” the DND said.
Philippines’ air-defence network:
The deployment of this mobile radar system strengthens the Philippines’ air-defence network, providing

2. and early warning capabilities,” the DND added.
This new radar will be operated by the PAF’s 580th Aircraft Control and Warning Wing, the DND said.
