📡KDDI, 8K / 4K video transmission on a running train using 5G for the first time in the world succeeded in continuous handover experiment
In collaboration with East Japan Railway Company, KDDI Corporation conducted an 8K / 4K video transmission experiment on a traveling train using the 5th generation mobile communication system (5G) from October 17th to 19th, 2017 , I succeeded in the world for the first time. In this demonstration experiment, we constructed an area using the experiment system of 28 GHz band in the section of about 1.5 km, run a test train · MUE-Train of the conventional line of JR East, and 5 G high speed, large capacity, low delay We succeeded in transmitting the high definition video with the 4K camera of the leading car and taking advantage of the characteristics of 8K video streaming inside the car.
