【the purpose】

In order to realize supersonic passenger aircraft, compatibility with environmental standards and economic feasibility are indispensable.

So far, JAXA has carried out the following technological developments.

Low resistance design technology: NEXST1
Low sonic boom design technology: D-SEND

The three key issues for the establishment of a supersonic passenger aircraft are as follows.

Low sonic boom
Low take-off and landing noise
Low fuel consumption (low resistance and light weight)
In the future, we aim to acquire aircraft design technology that satisfies the goals at the same time, and to demonstrate the feasibility of the system.

International standards development: Contributes to the development of international standards necessary for the development of the supersonic aircraft market.

Technical goals: Aircraft equipped with the necessary elemental technology to solve the three issues.

Elemental technology: Promote technological advancement and development of system design technology.
