We have developed a technology to recycle laminated film waste into reinforced plastic.

Furukawa Electric and Tetra Pak Japan:

A ballpoint pen was manufactured by Furukawa Electric and Tetra Pak Japan.

We will expand the application to furniture and electrical appliances, and aim to promote recycling in cooperation with local governments.

Recycle laminated film into reinforced plastic:

Furukawa Electric Co., Ltd. has developed “a technology to recycle a laminated film that is difficult to recycle into a reinforced plastic material”.

Field of use:

In the future, we will expand the applications such as stationery, furniture, electrical appliances, automobile parts, etc. and contribute to solving the plastic waste problem.

Most are incinerated and landfilled.

Recycled into reinforced plastic

In 2019, Furukawa Electric developed a technology to recycle disposable plastic products and used paper, which are difficult to recycle, into reinforced plastics.

This technology is used to sell recycled industrial material products from used beverage paper packs.
