On April 2, from the main AI conference and linked-in, we released the “2019 Global AI Talent Report”, which analyzes the number of AI researchers in the world, the distribution by country and region, and the gender ratio.
Number of AI researchers: AI conference
The number of AI researchers who published English dissertation at World 21 AI conference in 2018 was 22,400, an increase of 19% over the previous year.
Linked In: AI Expert
The number of people registered as AI specialists at Linkedin is 36,524 worldwide, compared with the previous year: 22,064 (up 65.5%).
46% of AI researchers work for US companies and research institutes
