The pace of startup in Israel has slowed down to 356 companies in 2018.

It is continuing a declining trend for four consecutive years since 2015.

Total funding totaled $ 6.4 billion, up 17% from the previous year.

The number of start-ups exceeding 1,000 companies annually from 2012 to 2016 was 356 for the full year of 2018 (see Table 1).

It continued to increase from 324 companies in 2002 and peaked at 1,366 companies in 2014

It declined, and since 2017 it is below 1,000 companies.
