LG: Organic EL TV, recalled in China: Approximately 9,400 units

LG Electronics:

LG has decided to recall TV parts in China as well as in South Korea.

Organic EL TV:

Power board (switchboard) problem used in TVs.

Same as the voluntary free exchange (recall) conducted in South Korea in July.

LG has a power board behind the TV panel.

Spontaneous recall:

On September 28, LG announced that it had submitted to the Chinese government a voluntary recall plan for 13 models of OLED TVs.

The recall target is 9434 OLED TVs sold in China from May 2016 to September 2019.

LG also announced the plan through the website of the Chinese corporation.

LG Electronics to Recall 60,000 Units of TVs with Power Board Heat Problems

LG Electronics announced on July 20 that it will replace power boards of 18 TV models free of charge as the power boards could generate heat.
