US Department of Commerce: Export ban to Huawei, limited license extension: extended until May 15

US Department of Commerce, Bureau of Industry and Security (BIS):
On March 12, the Gazette announced in the Gazette that a limited grace period for the ban on the export of US products (articles, software, and technology) to Huawei and its 114 affiliated companies would be extended to May 15.
The current grace period is until April 1st.
This is the fourth extension since this measure was introduced on May 20, 2019.
Should it be extended beyond May?
A public comment will be published in the official gazette on whether to extend it after May.
114 Huawei-related companies:
Currently, 114 Huawei-related companies are listed on the Entity List (EL: managed by the Ministry of Commerce).
Exports and reexports of US products to these companies are, in principle, not permitted.
BIS designated transaction: provisional comprehensive permission granted
However, transactions that fall under the four forms specified by BIS have a temporary comprehensive license (TGL: Temporary General License) that allows transactions for a certain period of time.
