USA Iron Ox: Robot, responsible for agricultural work-indoor hydroponic cultivation facility

On May 2nd, San Carlos City Foods Supermarket, Biannies Market announced that it will sell iron-ox grown vegetables (“The Burge” May 2nd).

In October 2018, the first indoor water culture plant (a robot is responsible for the main agricultural work) was opened in San Carlos City.

Land area 8,000 square feet (approximately 743 square meters)

Scale to produce about 26,000 leaf vegetables a year

Work done by robot: 2 types

Grab vegetables with an arm and transfer to another container.
Transporting a 800 lb tray containing vegetables and water
Seeding and packaging after harvest are done by humans.

Robot collaboration: 2 types, software development

We also developed software to allow two types of robots to work together.

Monitor the inside of the facility, such as nitrogen level, temperature, and robot position, and alert the robot and human if necessary.
