China EV battery: 2018 · Automotive LIB company ranking – 56.9% increase, concern over investment

On January 9, announced the production overview of LIB for NEV.
In 2018 LIB shipment volume reached 56,890 megawatt hours (MWh), an increase of 56.9% over the previous year.
By type,
1. Shipment volume of ternary LIB
It was about double the previous year, accounting for 58.2% of the total
2. Iron phosphate type LIB
23.5% increase and composition ratio reached 39.0%.
3. Manganese type LIB and titanic acid type LIB
Shipment volumes declined.

The top 20 LIB shipments account for 91.8% of the total.
During the Ningde Period, the major two companies of CATL and Huizhou Rinzhi Battery shipped more than twice the amount of the previous year,
The composition ratio of the two companies increased from 44.5% in the previous year to 61.3%, and the oligopoly has advanced further (see table).
