Automatic operation “xAUTO” is installed in the demonstration vehicle.
Driving on ordinary roads without high-precision map information( Local Map and Automated Valet Parking)
developed a new automatic driving technology “xAUTO” that can be used in various scenes on ordinary roads.
This vehicle will be exhibited at the 46th Tokyo Motor Show 2019 (October 24-November 4, at Tokyo Big Sight).
“XAUTO”: Main features
“Local Map”: realizes automatic driving without a high-precision map
Use the CLAS signal to obtain the position of the vehicle at the time of traveling, and record the route traveled in the past in the “local map”
Performs automatic driving control according to the “local map” and realizes automatic driving even without a high-precision map
“Automated Valet Parking”: Realized by automatic driving control along the driving route
‘Sensor fusion technology’: Immediate and accurate recognition of surrounding conditions
Information on multiple sensors: ‘sensor fusion technology’ that combines and calculates the deviation of millimeter wave radar and camera processing time
Increasing the number of in-vehicle sensors: Immediate and highly accurate recognition even when the number of in-vehicle sensors increases
