Outlook: Toyota’s renewed interest in performance cars comes as the company is trying to reinvigorate its image as emotional and aspirational, rather than just functional. The new sports series, spanning several vehicle segments, will appeal to young car enthusiasts who prefer high-performance models, as well as to regular customers.
