Taiyo Nippon Sanso Delivers large capacity turbo refrigerator to Korea Electric Power – superconducting power transmission cable facility
Taiyo Nippon Sanso：
To the world’s first commercial superconducting power transmission cable introduction project promoted by Korea Electric Power Corporation and LS Cable.
delivered a large-capacity turbo-Brayton refrigerator NeoKelvin®-Turbo 10 kW and completed the field test run.
Superconducting cable to be cooled:
(Voltage 23 kV, transmission capacity 50 MVA, length 1 km)
In the future, it will be laid between substations in Suwon City and scheduled to start trial operation and power transmission of the entire cable system in 2019.
