Six Firms Compete for CalPERS’ Private Equity Portfolio Mandate.
The California Public Employees’ Retirement System (CalPERS) issued a notice for an external strategic partner for its private equity program.
Six suitors responded to the RFI. The bids were due by January 19, 2018.
The bidders are Hamilton Lane,
Neuberger Berman,
Goldman Sachs Asset Management,
AlpInvest Partners,
HarbourVest Partners and
BlackRock.
CalPERS plans to keep its 8% allocation toward private equity.
