NTT Docomo Ventures:

We invested in Skydio, Inc, which develops and sells autonomous flying drones.

Drone control:

To fly the aircraft correctly,
Improve and master the skills,
Sufficient training period is required.
There was a need for a technical solution that would reduce the burden.

Skydio:

We have a track record of autonomous flight efforts for over 10 years.

With multiple dedicated cameras mounted on the aircraft
While grasping the surroundings
Fly autonomously with AI
Developing and selling advanced drones and applications.

Autonomous flight with AI:

Automatic tracking and shooting of designated people and dedicated beacons
Recognizing obstacles even during manual operation,
Achieves automatic 360° avoidance of collision.

Spatial recognition technology:

Even in indoor environments where GPS cannot be used, space recognition technology enables safe flight.

Skydio’s autonomous flight/collision avoidance technology is an important factor in further expanding the use of drones.
