💡NIST, World Record of Optical Exchange, Succeeded in Fast Switching Experiment of 53.3 Terabit Optical Signal per Second October 2, 2017
~ Expecting instantaneous transfer of big data at large data center ~

  1. Optical switch system with one route switching time of 80 ns, achieving 3.9 million switching per second
  2. Compatible with optical signals equivalent to 370 channels of uncompressed 8K video per second
  3. Contributing to space saving and energy conservation of large data centers with optical switch system and next generation optical fiber

This paper was adopted as Best Hot Topic Paper (Post Deadline Paper) with a very high evaluation at the 43rd European Optical Communication International Conference (ECOC 2017).
