Kia Optimas Are Recalled Automatic Braking Failure
Kia is recalling 11,423 of its 2019 Optima sedans because the software for forward collision warning (FCW) may prevent the automatic emergency braking (AEB) system from engaging when FCW senses a potential collision with a stationary vehicle, according to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration.
The action applies only to 2019 Optimas with 1.6-liter and 2.0-liter four-cylinder engines, NHTSA says.
