Fujitsu: Passenger verification by palm vein authentication-Korea, domestic extension airport

Fujitsu Korea Ltd. (Head office: Seoul, Korea):

We have introduced palm vein authentication (identification boarding service) to reduce congestion in Korea domestic flights and all 14 airports under the jurisdiction of Korea Airport Corporation (Head office: Seoul, Korea).

Palm vein authentication:

Users (previously registering palm veins) do not need to present a national ID card when checking the passenger after check-in.

Just hold your boarding pass and palm over the gate and you will be immediately authenticated as a person.

In this way, it is possible to automate personal identification of the national ID card, which was conventionally done by airport personnel.

It improves the accuracy of passenger identification and significantly reduces the response time.

In addition, users do not need to carry a national ID card at all times, waiting time is reduced, and smooth procedures at the airport become possible.
