💰Foreigners Post 1st Net Buying of Japan Stocks in 3 Years.

Tokyo, Jan. 10 (Jiji Press)–Foreign investors turned net buyers of Japanese stocks for the first time in three years in 2017, Tokyo Stock Exchange data showed Wednesday.

Their annual net buying amounted to 753,244 million yen, against net selling of 3,688,750 million yen in 2016, according to the data on cash stock transactions via 52 brokerage firms on Japan’s two major exchanges in Tokyo and Nagoya.

The result suggested that brisk earnings at major Japanese firms attracted foreign purchases , brokers said.

Individual investors remained net sellers for the sixth consecutive year.
