💹Foreigners Net Sellers of Japan Stocks for 2nd Week.
Tokyo, Jan. 25 (Jiji Press)–Foreign investors were net sellers of Japanese stocks for the second consecutive week last week, a Tokyo Stock Exchange report showed Thursday.
On Jan. 15-19, overseas investors posted net selling of 222,243 million yen, up steeply from the previous week’s 31,614 million yen, according to the report on cash stock transactions via 51 brokerage firms on Japan’s two major stock exchanges–the TSE and the Nagoya Stock Exchange.
The key 225-issue Nikkei average rose 154.24 points, or 0.65 pct, to end the reporting week at 20,808.06.
