📉Foreigners Net Sellers of Japanese Stocks for 5th Week.
Tokyo, Dec. 21 (Jiji Press)–Foreign investors were net sellers of Japanese stocks for the fifth straight week last week, a Tokyo Stock Exchange report showed Thursday.
In the week from Dec. 11 through Friday, overseas investors posted a selling excess of 12,218 million yen, down from the previous week’s 216,820 million yen, according to the report on the TSE and the Nagoya Stock Exchange.
In the reporting week, the key 225-issue Nikkei average fell 257.86 points, or 1.13 pct, to 22,553.22 mainly due to the yen’s rise against the dollar.
