Demand was sluggish due to the spread of infections, resulting in a 26.0% decrease from the previous year to 214,857 units.
New car sales have been negative for 9 consecutive months.
March decreased 10.2%,
25.5% decrease in April,
40.2% decrease in May,
In June, it was only 26.0% lower, showing signs of recovery.
By Brand:
Toyota decreased by 22.7% (down 33.9% from the previous month) 101,762 units,
Honda decreased 30.4% (down 42.5% from the previous month) 24,678 units,
Nissan decreased 35.7% (down 52.0% month-on-month) to 21,031 units.
The top three brands have recovered by more than 10 points from the previous month.
Other than that, it dropped significantly last month.
Suzuki (62.8% decrease → 12.2% decrease)
Subaru (76.1% decrease → 33.5% decrease) was also recovered.
