The German steel producer Thyssenkrupp has declared a force majeure due to low water levels on the Rhine, according to Doyle Trading Consultants, a unit of Informa.
Water levels on the River Rhine have hit the lowest mark on record and are likely to continue retracting, DTC said citing a spokesperson for the Rhine Shipping Authority.
