Fiber material:Insects’ yarn with strength that surpass spider thread – several hundred meters
Kowa (Naka-ku Naka-ku, Nagoya City) and Agriculture · Food Industry Research Institute for Science and Technology (Agricultural Research Organization) announced on May 5 that they developed basic technologies for industrial utilization of insects’ yarn with strength that surpass spider thread.
A string of several hundred meters of length from one insect is able to be collected efficiently in a straight state.
