VW: New plant in Turkey postpones construction again: Volkswagen Turkey

Reuters (February 18):

Germany’s Volkswagen (VW) has again postponed its final decision on building a new plant in Turkey.

In October 2019, Turkish military operations in Syria (the Fountain of Peace) received international criticism.

As a result, VW has postponed the final decision to build the factory.

Final decision: Mid-2020

By December 2019, the final decision was to be February 2020.

According to the postponement, “the final decision will be shifted to the middle of 2020 at the earliest.”
