“Old Nara Prison”: Nara City
Nara City’s “Old Nara Prison” was built by the Meiji government at five locations nationwide.
It is designated as an important cultural asset of the country in one of the “five great prisons.”
Currently, renovations are in progress as complex facilities such as museums and hotels.
“Hoshino Resort (developing luxury inn)” will be operating the hotel.
