Japan Michelin tires (head office: Shinjuku-ku, Tokyo) and Softbank (headquarters: Minato-ku, Tokyo) set the tire management system “Michelin TPMS (climbing pressure monitoring system) cloud service” utilizing IoT for truck buses available from 1st June.
Practical application has already progressed on overseas construction machinery sites , but as a tire maker is the first in Japan.
TPMS detects the air pressure and the internal temperature of the tire by attaching a sensor to the tire and issues an alarm when the air pressure or the tire internal temperature falls outside the standard.
