It has been found that seedlings of the apple variety “Chiyuki” developed in Aomori Prefecture were sold without permission at a Chinese online shopping site.
The Aomori Prefectural Industrial Technology Center is investigating and confirming that there is a possibility that the seedlings have leaked illegally.

Aomori Prefectural Industrial Technology Center has completed the procedure for registering varieties of apples “Chiyuki” in China in 2016.
“To sell or cultivate in China without permission from the center” is prohibited.
