Kawasaki Heavy: Submarine “Syryu” delivered-stealth performance improved
Kawasaki Heavy Industries:
On March 18, at 11:30 am, at the Kobe Factory Nishihama quay, the delivery ceremony of the submarine “Syryu” for the Ministry of Defense was held with the attendance of the Ministry of Defense officials and others.
Submarine “Syryu”:
It is the 28th as a submarine built by us after the war.
Constructed as the 10th “Soryu” type submarine.
The super high strength steel for ships is used for the hull, and it has high water pressure resistance performance.
In addition, X rudder adoption provides excellent underwater movement performance.
Stealth performance improvement:
- Improved dive performance by adopting a Stirling engine
- Automation of various systems,
- Improvement of search ability by high-performance sonar equipment,
And various safety measures have been taken.
