📹Fujitsu Introduces AI to Siemens Gamesa Renewable Energy, Significantly Reduces Quality Inspection Time for Wind Turbine

Fujitsu introduced AI (Artificial Intelligence) solution utilizing deep learning to Siemens Gamesa Renewable Energy, SA (headquartered in Biskaya, Spain, Markus Tacke, hereinafter Siemens Gamessa), and the wind turbine manufactured by Siemens · Gamesa The quality inspection time of the feathers has been greatly shortened.

Siemens Gamesa uses Fujitsu’s new AI solution to shorten the quality inspection time on wind turbine blades up to 75 meters in length.

This solution lets AI learn images collected by non-destructive testing by ultrasonic waves and model it, thereby making it possible to automatically identify manufacturing defects that may cause defects in the blades during operation .

As a result, the confirmation time of the ultrasonic image in the quality inspection of one blades which had been traditionally required by a skilled technician for six hours could be shortened to 1.5 hours. In case
