On June 25, 2007, we entered into a business transfer agreement with Bombardier of Canada and Air Regional Jet (CRJ) business of Canada.

◆ Mitsubishi Heavy Industries strengthens customer support for regional jet business

◆ Expand aircraft business mainly in North America-Mitsubishi Heavy Industries global strategy

◆ Bombardier focuses on business jet business

Details of the contract:

Mitsubishi Heavy Industries pays Bombardier for $ 550 million in cash (closing payment).

In addition, we will pay $ 200 million in debt.

Mitsubishi Heavy Industries, Ltd. will inherit the beneficial interest of the Regional Aircraft Securitization Program (RASPRO) (Note) equivalent to US $ 180 million under this agreement.

This business succession:

Mitsubishi Heavy Industries, on the other hand, inherits the maintenance, customer support, refurbishment, marketing, sales functions and model certification of the CRJ series.
