HD-PLC began to demonstrate the use of IoT in factories and large-scale facilities 20170905

Panasonic Corporation will begin demonstration experiments to expand the range of use of high-speed PLC technology “HD-PLC” (Note 1) developed by the company. This demonstration experiment is intended for use as a communication purpose for factory and large scale facility, such as three-phase power line for motive power system and three-phase power line of backbone used for LED lighting. By using existing power lines, wiring of new communication wires becomes unnecessary, and it can be utilized also in the place of radio insensitivity. In addition, it is possible to realize a system with 1000 connected terminals with IEEE 1901 which is an international standard of high-speed PLC, by making multi-hop technology ITU-T G.9905 correspond (hereinafter “HD-PLC” multihop) I will. This makes it possible to hop between multiple terminals, enable long distance communication of about several Km (Note 2) using power lines, network press release at large-scale facilities, etc. | Panasonic Newsroom Japan
