Toppan Forms has developed “Ultra High Frequency (UHF) band IC label with temperature measurement function”.
Individual items can be managed with the temperature information.

UHF band IC label:
Scheduled to be released in December 2020.
The price is about 70 yen per order when ordering 1 million pieces.
Aim for sales of 500 million yen in labels, related equipment, and systems by 2025.
Application fields:
Used for temperature control of electronic parts and high-performance materials.
Equipped with an IC chip with a built-in temperature sensor,
Can measure up to 85–40°C.
ID and temperature measurement results can be acquired simultaneously,
Achieve quality control on an individual product basis, which is difficult with temperature measuring instruments.
It is also possible to prevent mistakes in writing records and reduce work processes.
Expected to be used for storage and distribution of materials that require temperature control, such as electronic parts and high-performance materials.
