Haramain High-Speed Train to Start Operating
Saudi Arabia’s religious tourism sector expects to have somewhere between 25 million to 30 million tourists in 2025 and tourism is a key part of Saudi Arabia’s Vision 2030 plan.
Saudi Arabia revealed the completion of the Haramain high-speed rail project, linking Mecca (Makkah) and Medina (Madinah) via Jeddah.
A consortium, comprising firms including the kingdom’s Saudi Al Shoula and Al Rosan and Spain’s Adif, Ineco, Renfe, Cobra and Copasa, reached a deal with the government in November 2016
