The Canada Pension Plan Investment Board (CPPIB) moved to acquire between a 14% to 15% stake in ReNew Power Ventures Private Limited for Rs 2,250 crore (US$ 350 million).
CPPIB is getting the ownership interest in the Indian renewable energy company in two separate transactions.

Mubadala Acquires Verno Capital’s PE Advisory Unit .
Abu Dhabi-based Mubadala Investment Company is buying Russia-based Verno Capital’s private equity advisory unit.
The transaction enables Mubadala greater access to investment opportunities in Russian and the CIS region.
A number of Verno Capital employees will migrate over to Mubadala. Verno Private Equity, the private equity business of Verno Capital, was formed in October 2013.
The unit was formed to advise and help deal opportunities on behalf of Mubadala investing under its US$ 6 billion co-investment agreement with the Russian Direct Investment Fund (RDIF).
