SII: Solar Power Beacon ‘T-WA10’ released: Bluetooth® Low Energy (BLE)

We have developed and started supplying the world’s smallest portable beacon “T-WA10”.
The world’s smallest * portable solar power beacon with a diameter of 33.5mm and a thickness of 7.9mm.
New beacon “T-WA10”:
The beacon uses low-power, short-range wireless technology, Bluetooth® Low Energy (BLE).
Transmits the Bluetooth signal from the main unit and grasps the location information.
Conventional beacon:
However, conventional portable beacons use coin-type batteries for power.
Therefore, periodic battery replacement was necessary, and there was a concern that the battery could be poor.
On the other hand, beacon of installation type solar power generation type is large and cannot be carried everyday.
This beacon:
SII utilizes the miniaturization technology and power saving control technology cultivated over many years of wristwatch manufacturing.
This time, the T-WA10 portable solar-powered beacon we have developed is the world’s smallest using solar power generation.
This allows surplus power to be stored without worrying about battery life.
Operates for about two months on a full charge even in the absence of light.

It can be used safely at work sites that handle water.
First user: ACCESS Co., Ltd.
As the first step, we delivered the “T-WA10-ACS” with enhanced unique functions at the end of January for the location management service of ACCESS Co., Ltd.

Power generation with indoor lighting and sunlight
In low light (300 lux) environment, it is possible to keep transmitting once a second.
Equipped with secondary battery:
Surplus power can be stored.
If fully charged, it can operate for two months even in the absence of light. (Sending interval: once / second)
Accelerometer:
The transmission cycle can be switched according to the presence / absence of the operation signal and the solar panel light-receiving signal to enable power saving control.
Equipped with LED light:
You can check the battery level by pressing the button.
